Win and draw for Wolves

WOLVES began their first pre-season as a Premiership side with a victory and a draw, as they recorded a win at Bristol Rovers, but were held at Hereford United on Monday evening.

Wolves' game at Bristol was a testimonial for Rovers' former star Dave Pritchard.

Terry Connor led the Wolves team at The Memorial Stadium and guided them to a 1-0 win.

Midfielder J.J. Melligan grabbed the only goal of the game after 15 minutes when he raced on to Nathan Blake's flick-on before firing home.

The other game at Edgar Street, saw Dave Jones's side draw 1-1 - with Adam Proudlock (pictured) finding the back of the net.

Other friendlies on Monday evening saw Hull ease to a 4-0 win at Bradford Park Avenue, QPR grab a 2-0 success at Aylesbury and Yeovil crush Chippenham 6-0.
