Stoke swoop for Eustace

STOKE CITY have completed the signing of Coventry City's John Eustace.

The 23-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with the Potteries club.

Stoke made their move for Eustace, after Wimbledon's Damien Francis snubbed a move to The Britannia Stadium in preference to Norwich City.

"We are pleased to have signed a midfielder of the calibre of John Eustace, especially after missing out on Damien Francis," said Stoke's director of football John Rudge.

"John has a lot of potential and has already proven his ability having competed in The Premiership."

Eustace, who spent part of last season on loan at Middlesbrough, is Stoke's third major signing of the summer following the arrivals of Clint Hill and Gifton Noel Williams.
