Odunsi signs for Shrimpers
Odunsi had linked up with The Shrimpers for pre-season training and shone sufficiently to earn a contract with Steve Wignall's men.
The 22-year-old was available on a free transfer after leaving Millwall by mutual consent last December and has inked a 12-month deal with the Third Division outfit.
The midfield man is confident he has made the right decision in moving to Roots Hall and has set his sights on promotion to Division Two.
"It's a friendly club here," Odunsi told Southend's official website. "I listened to what the manager and Stewart Robson had to say and it felt like the right choice for me.
"I have enjoyed pre-season training, there's a great bunch of lads here and the best bunch I have worked with, to be fair.
"I want us to get promotion and that's what I'll be striving for. I want to be in the side on a regular basis and hopefully make a name for myself and again get Southend United into the Second Division."
