Mabizela eager to gain his Spurs
The 22-year-old flew back to England with Spurs, after they completed their pre-season tour of South Africa.
Mabizela stood out during Orlando Pirates' clash with Tottenham and he did enough to persuade manager Glenn Hoddle to make a move for him.
The Bafana Bafana star is now in North London to discuss personal terms and go through a medical before penning a contract at White Hart Lane.
"I'm very pleased to be with the team and I'm looking forward to playing football now," he told Tottenham's official website.
"That's what I want to do.
"It's a great opportunity for me to come and join a big Premiership team.
"It's been my biggest dream to come and play in England. Players like Lucas Radebe, Shaun Bartlett and Quinton Fortune have opened the gates for up and coming stars in South Africa.
"I will try me best to follow them."
Mabizela, known as 'Oldjohn' in his homeland, has 20 caps for South Africa and has also captained them, which should mean that a work permit is a formality.
