Hibic wants Atletico stay
The 29-year-old stopper has been linked with various clubs during the summer as Atletico look to trim their huge first-team squad which currently has some 35 members.
Hibic was offered to Glasgow Rangers as part of the proposed deal for midfielder Mikel Arteta, but eventually saw the transfer fall through.
Now the defender wants to remain at El Vicente Calderon and fight for a first-team place.
"In my head I'm only thinking of staying here," said Hibic.
"Nobody has told me anything different and I don't want to speak about anything else.
"They are always saying that I'm going or staying, but ultimately I end up playing.
"I hope that it happens again, it will be hard because I have many team-mates and there are a lot of good players, but I am going to fight for my place."
Hibic also had words of praise for new Atletico boss Gregorio Manzano, and backed the coach to make a positive impression.
"We are talking about a good manager, and one with prestige. He won the Cup last year and that says something."
