QPR to trial Bailey and Kanu
The Loftus Road club will give the duo a run-out for The R's in a pre-season friendly at Conference club Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
19-year-old Bailey is a left-sided midfielder who has plenty of ability, according to Lilywhites boss Craig Brown.
He nearly went on loan last March to then Third Division club Exeter City before the deal collapsed, having made just one appearance for the Deepdale first team last April.
Bailey is available on a long-term loan and assistant manager Kenny Jackett believes the teenager is the kind of player that QPR need.
"We need someone with a good left foot to add balance to the squad and to the midfield," Jackett told the club's official website.
"We will have a look at him over the next few days and if we like him and he likes us we'll take it from there."
The West London outfit will also take a closer look at former Ajax player Kanu - brother of Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu.
The 23-year-old (pictured) had been training with Second Division side Peterborough United and had agreed to sign a deal with the London Road outfit.
However, with The Posh still trying to secure all the paperwork in order to sign the African ace, Kanu has decided to keep his options open and take a trial with manager Ian Holloway's side.
"Again, we will have him for two or three days and we'll see how things go," added Jackett.
"Peterborough want him, but he wants to come to us for a few days first."
