Iversen follows dad`s wishes
Odd Iversen is considered one of the best strikers ever to play for Norway and scored 19 goals in 45 international appearances.
Now Odd is excited by the prospect of his son running out at Molineux for Wolves.
"I have always had Wolverhampton as my favourite team in England," Odd told TV2 Nettavisen.
"Ever since Steffen joined Tottenham I have told him to join Wolves if it turned sour in London."
Iversen has signed a one-year deal with Dave Jones's side and his dad believes he can have a big impact at his new home.
"I have talked with Steffen, he is pleased that it is all sorted out now, he needed to change environments and he looks forward to playing for a new club."
Odd stated: "If he stays injury free, I think he can become a success for Wolves, he can score 15 to 20 goals and become attractive to other clubs again."
