Kanu agrees Posh switch

CHRISTOPHER KANU has agreed to join Peterborough United following a successful trial with the club.

The deal will only go through once a special medical has been passed by the younger brother of Arsenal striker Kanu.

Due to his brother's heart problems while at Ajax earlier in his career, The Posh are keen to ensure Christopher is in good health.

Posh manager Barry Fry revealed the club's owner, Colin Hill, insisted on the club undertaking a special medical at London Road.

"I have done a deal with Christopher and his agent, but the stumbling block is the owner Colin Hill, who insists on a medical," said Fry to the club's official website.

"It is not a normal medical, it is a medical that involves his heart being checked out because his brother had problems many years ago when he was at Ajax and obviously we want to make sure everything is fine.

"It is a two-year contract he has agreed and I am disappointed he is not playing Saturday, but he will be playing for Posh."
