De Pedro suffers injury blow
JAVIER DE PEDRO looks set to be sidelined for at least a week after suffering tendonitis of his left Achilles.
The Spanish international, who was a target for Southampton this summer, picked up the problem in a training session on Thursday.
The 29-year-old will definitely sit out his side's pre-season friendly with Udinese this weekend as he bids to recover from the injury.
De Pedro will undergo further tests on the problem on Sunday, but is not expected to be kept out of action for long by the niggle.
