Frankfurt suspend Montero

The 29-year-old had fallen foul of club management twice during last season after arriving drunk at training, but the club have yet to reveal details of his latest misdemeanour.

In an official statement Frankfurt confirmed that Montero had been suspended as a result of "renewed unprofessional behaviour" which "harms the image of Eintracht Frankfurt and the team."

The player will receive a written invitation to explain his behaviour to the club board, the statement continued.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt are currently testing Brazilian defender Chris as a replacement for injured club captain Jens Keller (pictured) 

The 24-year-old stopper is currently without a club after making 13 appearances for St Pauli in Bundesliga II last season.
