Strasbourg to sign keeper
STRASBOURG have teed up a deal to sign Troyes goalkeeper Stephane Cassard once they offload Vincent Fernandez to Tenerife.
Fernandez wants to quit Strasbourg after being displaced as first choice following Richard Dutruel's (pictured) arrival from Alaves.
Coach Antoine Kombouare is happy to allow Fernandez to quit the club, on the proviso he has secured a replacement.
Kombouare has moved for Troyes shot-stopper Cassard as his back-up and will take the 30-year-old on a season-long loan deal once Fernandez signs for Tenerife.
Cassard has jumped at the chance of a swift return to the French top flight after Troyes' relegation last season, even though he will be playing second fiddle to Dutruel.
