Sand happy with Schalke life
DANISH international striker Ebbe Sand has pledged his future to Bundesliga outfit FC Shalke and wants to finish his career at the club.
The 31-year-old joined Shalke from Brondby in 1999 and was voted Bundesliga Player of the Season back in 2001 after netting 22 goals for his club.
The prolific hit-man has two years left on his current contract and is keen to extend the deal and finish his playing days with the German club.
He told BT: "I am truly enjoying myself as Shalke. I shall not move anywhere else. I can't really imagine that unless playing conditions change dramatically."
Sand is set to line up for Denmark as they face Finland in a friendly international on Wednesday evening.
