Nonda injury mars Monaco win

AN injury to Shabani Nonda overshadowed Monaco`s fantastic 4-2 win at Paris Saint Germain.

The Congo striker was stretchered off on eight minutes following a clash with Jose Pierre-Fanfan, and early reports suggest the Monaco marksman has suffered a dislocated kneecap.

PSG capitalised on the loss of Nonda, with Portuguese ace Pauleta firing them in front on 15 minutes.

Monaco, though, turned the game on its head shortly before the interval with Ludovic Giuly and Manuel Adebayor firing the Principality club in front.

Vahid Halilhodzic`s PSG found a response after the break, with Reinaldo scoring on 49 minutes but they were level for just a short time as Sebastien Squillaci converted a Jerome Rothen corner to fire Monaco back in front.

PSG pressed forward in search of an equaliser but were frustrated and they had Modeste M`Bami sent off in the final ten minutes.

With PSG in disarray, Giuly netted a fourth in injury-time as Monaco fired a warning to the rest of Le Championnat.

Monaco, though, will be anxiously awaiting news on their talismanic forward Nonda.
