Carew set for Valencia exit
The Spanish outfit are willing to let the 23-year-old leave in a bid to ease their financial problems.
Rangers are believed to be interested in signing the giant hit-man to bolster their attack now they have secured their place in the lucrative stages of the Champions League.
Reports in England now suggest that Everton have joined the chase for his signature and are hoping to take him to Goodison Park on a season-long loan.
Italian giants Roma and French champions Lyon have also been linked with the player and Valencia president Jaime Orti confirmed Carew could leave before the close of the transfer window this weekend.
"John Carew can be sold already on Friday," Orti told TV2.
"Yes, there are several offers for John. Amongst others from Rome."
Carew's agent, Per A Flod, confirmed a loan bid was turned down last week for the striker, but hinted a deal could happen.
"Valencia had a loan offer for John last week but they refused him permission to leave. I have talked to him about other clubs, but I can't say any more than that at the moment," said Flod.
