Becks delight at debut show
A memorable evening for the England skipper was completed by Real's 2-1 home triumph over Real Betis, and Beckham admitted he was enjoying one of the happiest spells of his career.
"This is my most happy moment in the last year and a half," said the midfielder.
"Everyone has their highs and lows, but I have enjoyed myself on the pitch, and with my football.
"I hope I can carry on scoring goals, and I am really looking forward to playing against Villarreal."
The former Manchester United star also rattled the crossbar against Betis with a rasping 30-yard effort, but conceded he could not have asked for more from his first two competitive appearances in the white of Real.
"I have had two goals and two wins, and I don't think you can ask for more than that.
"My mission is not really to score goals, but I am satisfied, though I have to say the victory was the result of the work of the team."
