Lescott on road to recovery
The Wolves defender underwent surgery on both knees in the summer, and the battle back to fitness has been a slow one.
"I heard a few rumours myself, but there's nothing to worry about," Lescott told the club's official website.
"I hope to be back training in a few weeks, fingers crossed, and I hope to be there or thereabouts a couple of weeks after that.
"I have been working in the gym and straight line stuff is easy but it's the turning and twisting that's causing me problems so, I've had to go back to basics for a while to sort that out.
"I couldn't even walk after I'd had the operations because both knees were done at the same time.
"I had to lie down for a few weeks and while I've been out I've missed pre-season so of course it's going to take time.
"It's been a long time since I had the operation and people wonder why I'm not back yet but you can't rush things or it could set me back to where I was before.
"But, I'm taking things day by day and I'm looking forward to getting back training pretty soon, then give myself a few weeks to get match fit and see from there what happens."
