'Little Buddha' Celtic bound
IVAN DE LA PENA is set to sign for Celtic according to members of his family.
Speaking to a Spanish radio station, his family confirmed he had flown to Qatar to speak to Qatar FC 'out of courtesy', but was now ready to put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Parkhead.
"He has not signed any contract and it was only a question of courtesy and attending to the interest that the club, Qatar FC, had in speaking to him," stated his family.
It is reported that the former Barcelona star will now travel to Scotland on Saturday to complete the formalities of his move to Scotland.
De la Pena, known as the 'the little buddha', has been looking for a new club after Espanyol decided against offering him a new deal this summer.
