Svensson's Saints vow
Svensson started the opening fixture of the Premiership season against Leicester but was substituted at half-time and has since been restricted to a brace of appearances from the bench.
The 27-year-old is frustrated at failing to reclaim his spot in the side and claims Strachan has not explained the reasons for his omission.
He concedes he does not envisage a recall in the short term but he is adamant he will demonstrate to Strachan that he warrants a place in the starting XI.
"I have got the message that I will not get to play," Svensson told Expressen. "One and a half hours before the match, we have a meeting and then we get to know who will be the substitutes.
"I have not had any chance to talk to Gordon since I came back from Poland. I feel I have worked like an animal and that the body feels good. I am obviously disappointed about the situation.
"I will keep on working hard and prove that I shall get the chance. Sooner or later it will come, the league has just started."
Svensson recently hinted he would consider quitting St Mary's if he fails to regain regular first-team football and his agent confirmed the situation had not altered.
Kent Carlzon commented: "As late as this summer, we were discussing an extension of his contract. Gordon has also told Anders that he is one of the best players at the club.
"If this continues for long, we will naturally have to review the situation again."
