INTER - ONE TO WATCH - OBAFEMI MARTINS
The burly Nigerian striker came to Inter's aid in the wake of an injury crisis and scored in the crucial 2-0 win away to Bayer Leverkusen to seal their place in the quarter finals.
Martins made himself a hero with the fans coming off the bench to score in the 1-1 draw with city rivals Milan in the semi-finals, but it was not enough to stop his team from tumbling out of the competition.
The 18-year-old is highly-rated within the corridors of the Giuseppe Meazza and made the breakthrough into the first team quicker than expected.
With Christian Vieri, Hernan Crespo and Alvaro Recoba all ahead of him in the pecking order last season first team chances were limited, but with Crespo gone this could be the year for Martins to establish himself as Vieri's partner in attack.
Martins is a powerful striker with electric pace and an eye for goal as seen from the brief glimpses of him last season and one year on he could prove to be a real handful for some of Europe's finest defenders.
