AJAX - ONE TO WATCH - WESLEY SNEIJDER

ANOTHER product of the Ajax youth system, which once again is producing some of Europe's best young players and Wesley Sneijder is no exception.

Sneijder was voted the best youth player in Holland in 2002 and soon after he was a regular fixture in the Ajax side.

The 19-year-old is an attacking midfield he likes to play on either flank, but he also has an eye for goal which was seen when he managed four goals in 17 games when given his chance.

He made such an impression on the Dutch game, he was handed his full international debut by Dick Advocaat in the clash with Portugal in April 2003.

This season will see him play his first full Champions League campaign and he could be a major influential for the Dutch giants.

Ajax are now without wing star Andy van der Meyde and much will be expected of young Sneijder.
