SKILFUL striker Didier Drogba proved to be one of the sensations of French football last season.
Drogba has spent his whole career in France, starting out at Le Mans before really making his mark at Guingamp.
The 25-year-old scored a goal every other game for Guingamp last season and finished third top scorer in Le Championnat with 17 goals to his credit.
His exploits convinced Marseille to sign him ahead of Lyon for £3.5 million in the summer as they prepared for the Champions League.
Big things are expected of Drogba this season after last year's success and he will be keen to showcase his talents by playing in Europe's premier competition for the first time.
Drogba is an international for the Ivory Coast and he has a prolific strike rate for his country, netting four goals in six internationals.
