Bresciano late show stuns Lazio

LAZIO lost their 100 percent record as Parma snatched a dramatic 3-2 win at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, while Roma and Juventus played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Turin.

The Roman club knew victory would take them to the top of the table, but goals at the start and end of the game by Mark Bresciano stunned Lazio.

Dutch defender Jaap Stam is in a rare rich vein of form, as he netted his second goal inside a week to cancel out Bresciano's first-minute effort for Parma.

However, Lazio appeared to suffer something of a hangover from their midweek win over Besiktas, as Adriano escaped the attentions of his marker to fire Parma in front on 63 minutes.

Simone Inzaghi thought he had secured a draw with a strike on 79 minutes, but Bresciano had the final say with a sparkling goal on 88 minutes to hand Parma victory.

Internazionale also appeared to leave their fine midweek form behind them, as Sampdoria showed real grit in Giuseppe Meazza to secure a 0-0 draw.

Jonathan Zebina scored a late goal as Roma snatched a 2-2 draw with Juventus.

Juve appeared to be edging towards a win when Zebina powered a shot through a crowd of players, with his effort taking a wicked deflection on its way past Gianluigi Buffon.

Marco Di Vaio climbed off the bench and scored two goals for Juve, but he had to share the headlines with Zebina.

Marcello Lippi's Juve regrouped after losing talisman Alessandro Del Piero, with the striker going off after picking up a calf injury.

Di Vaio wasted little chance in staking his claim for a starting berth, hammering home a rebound after Ivan Pelizzoli saved David Trezeguet's header.

Romanian Cristian Chivu continued his goal-a-game record in Serie A, netting an exquisite free-kick to bring Roma level.

Juve took the lead once again, with Di Vaio poking home Pavel Nedved's wicked free-kick.

However, Roma had the last word through Zebina, and sit top of Serie A on goal difference from four other teams.

Gennaro Gattuso made up for his midweek dismissal against Ajax with Milan's opener at Perugia, but Carlo Ancelotti's troops had to make do with a point as Zivis Vryzas netted a leveller for the home side.

Salvatore Lanna and Federico Cossato scored either side of a Javier Chevanton effort to give Chievo their first win of the season, at Lecce.

Andres Guly's effort shortly after the hour mark set Bologna on their way to victory, with Sam Dalla Bonna netting a late penalty to secure the 2-0 win over Udinese.

The most entertaining game of the afternoon was at the Mario Ragamonti, as Brescia and Reggina played out a 4-4 draw.

Shunsuke Nakamura scored twice for Reggina; Emiliano Bonazzoli (39) and Andre Sottil (62) were also on target, but it was not enough as Brescia fought bravely to take a point.

Fabio Petruzzi was the hero with a strike on 85 minutes, but Luigi Di Biagio (10), Andrea Caracciolo (52) and Antonio Filippini (53) were also on target for the home side.
