Pippo injury not serious
MILAN have played down the severity of Filippo Inzaghi's facial injury, saying he will be released from hospital on Monday morning.
The in-form striker was taken to hospital following a sickening clash with Perugia keeper Zeljko Kalac during Sunday's 1-1 draw.
A number of tests were undertaken by the medical staff, with a hospital spokesman confirming Inzaghi had suffered damage to his jaw.
The injury is not believed to be serious, but doctors felt it wise to keep the Italian international in hospital overnight in order to monitor his progress.
The San Siro outfit expect Inzaghi to return to Milan on Monday.
