Keegan - Macken stays put
Macken has been plagued by injuries since his arrival from Preston North End in February 2002 and he was restricted to just five substitute appearances last season.
This term, the 26-year-old has a single Uefa Cup qualifying round outing against TNS under his belt and he is currently receiving treatment for a foot injury.
When he ultimately returns to fitness, Macken will be hard-pressed to secure a starting spot in the City side due to the impressive form of Nicolas Anelka.
However, City chief Keegan has ruled out any possibility of Macken following team-mate Darren Huckerby out of the exit door on a temporary basis as he wants the former Manchester United trainee at his disposal.
"I would not entertain a loan enquiry for Jon Macken," affirmed Keegan. "We get people ringing up all the time, some of them genuinely thinking they are going to help us.
"The players we have loaned out like Darren Huckerby, we have done because we think it was sensible to do so.
"At this moment in time the ones who are here are staying here. We will review the situation."
