Tykes release Barrowclough
BARNSLEY have released midfielder Carl Barrowclough after his contract expired at Oakwell.
The 22-year-old failed to break into Gudjon Thordarson's first team plans this season and the club decided to let him leave.
Barrowclough saw his chances at Oakwell blighted by a series of injuries, including a hernia, a twice-broken foot and a serious hamstring condition.
The winger has been restricted to just 12 league appearances since making his debut in January 2001.
