Mutu plans Romanian protest
Mutu is still seething with Swiss referee Urs Meier after Romania were denied a crucial win in Denmark last month thanks to an injury-time equaliser from Martin Laursen.
The deadly striker is now ready to show his disappointment by unveiling a slogan under his shirt if he scores against Besiktas.
"I will be writing - 'Who cares about Romania?' After what Urs Meier did against us in Denmark, I'm sure that Romania pays for not being a strong country," fumed Mutu.
"It is not right that the referees treat us like this.
"I got the idea from a newspaper, Gazeta Sporturilor, the main daily in Romania."
Mutu expects to start the game after having recovered from the knock he picked up in the opening win against Sparta Prague a fortnight ago.
"I will play. I risked so much in Prague against Sparta," added Mutu.
"One of their players came with his feet exactly at my tibia.
"I admit that having other good strikers at the club is wonderful for me. I know that I never can be at 90 percent as I will only play if I am at 100 percent."
The former Parma star is looking forward to the prospect of coming up against two fellow Romanian's in the Besiktas ranks in coach Mircea Lucescu and striker Daniel Pancu.
"I will play against two Romanians, the coach Lucescu and the forward Pancu and he will be the most dangerous player in the Turkish team," said Mutu
"All the games are important and this one is the same. They come here after a defeat and they will play their last chances here."
