Ronnie worry for Barcelona
Ronaldinho has been ruled out of Brazil's friendly with Jamaica in Leicester on Sunday, and is now a worry for Barcelona's Uefa Cup tie.
The Samba star has been struggling with a thigh strain and Barca's doctors have now pulled him out of the Walkers Stadiujm friendly with the Jamaicans.
Brazilian coach Carlos Alberto Parreira was hoping to put out as strong a side as possible, and will now draft in Milan hot-shot Kaka to replace Ronaldinho.
Camp Nou doctor Lluis Til explained that the Brazilian Confederation accepted their case and: "Has given the OK so that Ronaldinho makes the treatment and the recovery here."
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the club's Copa del Rey tie with Gramenet, and the doctors believe he could make the problem worse should he play for Brazil.
He is even a doubt for their Uefa Cup second leg against Slovakian side Puchov, with the score at 1-1 from the first leg.
Barca face a race against time to get Ronaldinho fit for the European clash, and may decide to rest him for the important Liga tussle with Deportivo La Coruna next weekend.
"We are right on the limit (of days of recovery) and I cannot assure it," said Til.
"However, the possibility that he will be fit to play in the match against Deportivo (in ten days) is very high."
Ronaldinho will initially rest for a couple of days with treatment from the physiotherapist, after which he will then slowly return to training should he feel no pain.
