Fadiga to part company with Inter

By Nadia Carminati

Internazionale are reportedly close to cancelling the contract of Khalilou Fadiga because of his heart problems.

The Senegal star has failed to feature for Inter since his summer move from Auxerre after a routine test found he suffered from a heart condition.

Fadiga has undergone months of treatment in a bid to prove his fitness, but Inter's medical staff have refused to be convinced.

The Italian Football Commision ordered that Fadiga would not be able to play until May 2004 after evaluating his fitness.

Reports now suggest that Fadiga could cancel his contract with Inter and possibly return to Auxerre.
