Police foil Kezman kidnap plot
Eindhoven police have thwarted an attempt to kidnap PSV star Mateja Kezman.
Police arrested an unidentified 59-year-old man from Arnhem, who had been plotting to kidnap Kezman for ransom.
The man was released due to insufficient evidence against him, according to a club statement.
PSV coach Guus Hiddink said Kezman was still in training despite the shock.
"His reaction was that he's very upset. He was angry in a passive way. He's gone ahead with his normal life since he found out about it," said Hiddink.
Serbo-Montenegrin international Kezman played a huge part in PSV's championship-winning season last year, scoring 35 goals.
