Wise: I won't keep Millwall job
The former Wimbledon, Chelsea and Leicester City player took temporary charge of the South East London outfit following Wednesday's surprise dismissal of manager Mark McGhee and his assistant Archie Knox.
Wise took the reins as player-manager, with former Queens Park Rangers and Fulham boss Ray Wilkins becoming his temporary assistant.
Despite being handed the managerial affairs of the Division One outfit, Wise told Sky Sports News that he has no interest in becoming manager full-time.
The former England man stated his intention to continue playing for another couple of seasons - citing family reasons for his desire to continue as a player.
"I want to play for another year - this season plus one more year," revealed Wise.
"I think it's a difficult job to take on (permanently)."
