Del Piero - I'd move to England
By Dominique Antognoni
Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has admitted that he will move to an English club if he ever leaves the Turin giants.
The gifted forward has also revealed he will return from his knee injury sooner than was expected, as last season's UEFA Champions League finalists look to go one better this term.
"I will surprise you and come back sooner than you can imagine," he told skysports.com.
"In three weeks? Who knows?"
When asked on the prospect of moving club, particularly with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich changing the complexion of the transfer market, Del Piero did not hide his affection for The Premiership.
"England is the first country in my mind," he declared. "If, one day, I will leave Juve, I will move there.
"I love their kind of thinking and the football."
The Azzurri playmaker admits Juve have targeted the Champions League and had words of sympathy for sacked Internazionale coach Hector Cuper.
When asked if it seems easy for the Neroazzurri as they top Serie A already again this term, he replied: "It could be but, if we have to choose, we say that we want the Champions League.
"As for Inter, the moment was negative. There was tension.
"He (Cuper) was not guilty. I'm sure about that.
"They played badly against Brescia, even before then, but I don't think that was because of the coach."
