Unhappy Sartor confirms Blues trial

Roma defender Luigi Sartor has confirmed that he will undergo a trial at Birmingham City this week, but admitted he would prefer to stay in the Eternal City.

The 28-year-old is due to arrive in England on Wednesday to begin a ten-day trial at St Andrews and hold talks over a possible move in January.

Sartor seems set to quit the Giallorossi after falling out-of-favour at the Stadio Olimpico, with Roma boss Fabio Capello informing him he is not part of his plans.

The former Juventus and Internazionale ace admitted he is keeping an open mind about the trial, but that he is unhappy with his situation at Roma.

"The English club are interested in me and I'm going there to get a feel for the club just in case I move there in January," said Sartor.

"I'm not totally satisfied with the situation. It was my dream to remain at Roma.

"There is a great squad here and I think that this is the year when the boys will win something very important."
