Sartor set for Blues talks
Italian defender Luigi Sartor is heading to England to discuss a possible deal with Birmingham City.
The 28-year-old is currently on the fringes of Roma's squad and has already been told by coach Fabio Capello that he can leave.
A number of English clubs including Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Fulham and Tottenham have shown an interest - but Birmingham are now at the front of the queue to secure his signature.
Sartor will arrive in England on Wednesday for talks with Blues' management and also possibly take part in training.
The classy central defender will move on loan until the end of the season from January, if terms are agreed during his trip.
Sartor, who has over 150 Serie A games under his belt, has played for Juventus, Reggiana, Vicenza, Internazionale, Parma and now Roma during a career spanning 12 years.
