Eto'o seeking Mallorca exit
Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o has put England's top clubs on red alert after declaring his time with Mallorca is coming to an end.
The exciting attacker was one of the stars of the Confederations Cup, bagging a spectacular winner in the shock win over Brazil, and looked primed for a Premiership move with Chelsea particularly keen on his talents.
Valencia may bid to keep the African ace in Spain, but there is speculation that Liverpool could resurrect an interest in bringing the former Real Madrid man to Anfield.
"My time is arriving to be able to go because, when you have confidence, and see that you do not achieve, it is somewhat difficult," he declared.
"You have to go in your direction, to play football and not worry.
"I believe that my cycle here is finished.
"In Mallorca, they know what I have done for this team, thanks also to my companions, and already it is time to think as any other player."
Mallorca are struggling towards the foot of La Liga, but Eto'o is confident the club can avoid relegation.
"The team-mates that I have are big players and I am sure that we will do well and we will have a good campaign," he added.
Real Madrid own 50 percent of the forward's transfer rights, and Valencia requested Eto'o in exchange for Roberto Ayala in the summer, but the transfer did not progress.
