Mutu bears no grudges
The two players had a running battle all night in Chelsea's 4-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico with Mihajlovic spitting at the Romanian international in the second half with the Serb sent off for two bookable offences in the game.
Mihajlovic has been called to a Uefa disciplinary hearing on Friday and is likely to be handed a ban of three to four matches.
Mutu admitted he had to show a great deal of restraint to prevent himself from reacting to Mihajlovic, but revealed he taunted the player before his sending off.
"It was a vile gesture and an awful insult," said Mutu.
"He brought shame upon himself and Lazio.
"It was very humiliating to be spat at like that. Yet I didn't react, as I always put my team before any personal vendetta.
"Maybe Mihajlovic should stop playing mind games and concentrate on his football. He made a lot of mistakes and there is an awful lot in his play that needs improving.
"Some comments had been made between us before that incident, but he has a very poor sense of humour. He couldn't take the joke, so he got violent.
"He tried to be aggressive with me, yet it didn't work. He lost his mind and later got sent off.
"Everything that goes on when we are on the field of play should not affect us personally. I think he should be forgiven rather than punished."
