Silvinho in Barca's sphere
Barca are lining up the 29-year-old as a replacement for Giovanni van Bronckhorst who has made clear his desire to return to the North Londoners when his loan spell expires in June.
Silvinho joined Celta from the Highbury giants two seasons ago and has impressed since his switch to Spain.
What is more, the South American looks set to be granted Spanish citizenship in the near future which means he would not take up one of the four spots for non-EU players in Barca's squad next term.
Despite qualifying for this season's UEFA Champions League, Celta have severe financial difficulties and would be forced to consider cashing in on the left-sided full back should Barca follow up their interest with a firm bid.
However, Silvinho's excellent displays for Celta have not gone unnoticed outside of Spain, a host of German clubs are also reported to be watching his progress and his imminent EU citizenship makes him an even more attractive prospect.
