Hospital scare for Ferguson
Duncan Ferguson has spent some time in hospital after suffering from a respiratory problem.
The Everton target man has been dogged by persistent injury problems in recent seasons and missed the 1-0 loss to Chelsea because he was feeling unwell.
In a worrying development for the Scot, he was admitted to Southport hospital on Monday, although Everton have stressed this was purely as a precaution.
Following tests, there must be some doubt that Ferguson will be fit to face Blackburn Rovers on Monday.
Meanwhile, keeper Richard Wright is more hopeful of finding a cure to his knee problem after meeting with specialist Richard Steadman.
Everton will take some advice from Doctor Steadman in a bid to relieve the pain the former Ipswich man suffers when he kicks the ball.
