Kluivert looking for change
The Dutch were beaten 1-0 at Hampden Park, as Kluivert and his strike partner Ruud van Nistelrooy fired blanks.
Kluivert believes he should be allowed to plough a lone furrow in attack, saying Manchester United marksman van Nistelrooy should be left on the bench.
"I do not have a preference for who I play with," said Kluivert. "But, at the moment, it is clearly not working with Ruud and I - and that is a concern for us.
"I should have played up on my own from the beginning.
"In the first half, Ruud had six balls played up to him. That was more than me.
"We weren't doing things right and it's an awkward situation."
With the clamour for Advocaat to play Ajax superstar Rafael van der Vaart from the start in front of his own Amsterdam ArenA fans growing by the second, Kluivert could well get his wish to work with a new partner.
Despite the defeat, Kluivert is confident Holland will secure their passage to Euro 2004.
He added: "This is the first time in 16 games we have not scored under Dick and it would be strange if we do not qualify now.
"We are disappointed but have another chance to put things right and I am sure we will. After what we did in the second half, we are the team who should be going to Portugal - not Scotland."
