Bohme eyes return

Long term injury victim Jorge Bohme has earmarked a return to the Schalke first team before the Bundesliga winter break in December.

The German international midfielder has yet to make an appearance this season after suffering a cruciate ligament tear. The injury occurred in a pre-season friendly back in July, but Bohme's imminent return to full training has left the midfield man optimistic about an ahead of schedule comeback for the Royal Blues.

The 29-year-old former Bielefeld star admits that he eyes a return to football before the close of 2003, but his comments ere on the side of caution:

''If everything goes according to plan then I'll be training with the rest of the squad within two weeks. It is sensational that I can take part in sprint training just four months after suffering the injury, but I know that I've still got to be patient.''
