Cafu's World Cup dream
Brazil full back Cafu is determined to etch his name into football folklore and become the first captain to lift the World Cup twice.
The experienced defender led his nation to World Cup glory in the Far East last year and he has targeted a repeat bid in Germany in 2006.
Cafu will be 36 by the time of the next tournament but does not feel his age will prevent him from fulfilling his dream.
The Milan ace believes his positive attitude will enable him to be involved for Brazil in Germany and he has warned that pretenders to his right back berth will have a long wait to step into his shoes.
"If it depends on me, the rest of the right backs will have to be satisfied with sitting on the substitutes' bench," said Cafu.
"I think that I have the right to have that dream. At least I am the only player in the world in the next 12 years who can make that dream come true.
"I take my career seriously. I train a lot but I try to have a normal life off the pitch. I like to have a good wine or go out with my wife at night.
"I am a happy man and that helps me in all the things I do.
"I always think in a positive way and that's why I wasn't beaten during the persecutions that I have suffered during my career."
