Dortmund lose patience with Amoroso
Borussia Dortmund sport director Michael Zorc has issued an official statement slamming the behaviour of stay-away star Marcio Amoroso.
The temperamental Brazilian striker, who has been having his injured knee treated in his homeland, is unhappy at being told by Dortmund officials to return to Germany for an examination by club doctors.
Several critical comments made about the club by Amoroso have also caused consternation at the Westfalenstadion, prompting Zorc to make an official statement
"Marcio Amoroso's actions can almost be called a breach of contract. He has to be aware of the consequences of his actions. We have informed Fifa about this whole incident in detail," read the statement.
Dortmund are expecting Amoroso's return by Tuesday and failure to do so will mean he faces a bleak future at the Bundesliga outfit.
"Marcio Amoroso has severely disturbed the basis of trust between himself and the club," added Zorc.
"We don't have to make a fool of ourselves. It's always Amoroso who stands out with these kind of attacks against the club, and also particularly against the medical department.
"We can't and we won't let him get away with this. Now we want him, and not only his knee, to get well again."
