Scholl suffers new injury blow
Bayern Munich's Mehmet Scholl has suffered a fresh injury setback, with the player likely to be out for two months after suffering a slipped disc in his back.
The 33-year-old has faced a torrid time with injury throughout his career, and has managed just three appearances this year for Bayern.
The German international is unlikely to return until the New Year now, but is no stranger to back injuries.
Along with a persistent knee problem, Bayern's longest-serving player, has struggled for years with his back.
"We are sure the Mehmet will be back training with the team for the training camp in Dubai between January 9 and 17," stated team doctor Hans-Wilhem Muller Wolfhart.
