Daggers sign Rovers duo

Doncaster Rovers have released striker Tristam Whitman and have loaned Robert Gill to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Whitman moved to Doncaster in 2000 from Arnold Town, but he lost his starting role this season and has now been allowed to leave Belle Vue.

Whitman has now headed south and joined Dagenham, meaning The Daggers have completed a double raid on Rovers.

Gill, a former team-mate of Whitman, has also seen his chances limited since the team made it into the Football League - and has sealed a month-long loan deal to Dagenham.

Both Gill and Whitman are expected to make their Dagenham debut in Wednesday's clash with Farnborough.
