Nikolaidis set for new Atletico deal
Atletico Madrid are keen to extend the stay of striker Demis Nikolaidis after his excellent recent form.
The Greece international forward joined the club during the summer as a free agent after leaving AEK Athens.
The 30-year-old signed an initial short-term deal with 'Los Rojiblancos', but has made a big impact on both the club's coaching staff and fans.
Nikolaidis has been instrumental in Atletico's run of five successive wins, chipping in with two goals and striking up a superb understanding with Fernando Torres.
It is unclear whether the hit-man's new deal will be for one or two years, but Nikolaidis is keen to commit himself to Gregorio Manzano's outfit.
