Perugia sign Iannuzzi
Serie A side Perugia have confirmed the signing of Italian forward Alessandro Iannuzzi.
The striker has spent the previous two seasons with Serie B side Messina and is clearly delighted with his move to the Italian top flight.
''I'm really happy. I received this call and I didn't believe it. This is like a Christmas gift for me," he said.
The striker, who arrives as a free agent, is aware of the difficult task he faces in forcing his way into the club's first XI.
Talking about the forthcoming league clash against Lazio, Iannuzzi was realistic about his probable role: ''Surely, I'll see the match from the stand. In this transfer period I have had training but lack match practice.''
Iannuzzi became a free agent this summer after Messina decided against an option to renew his contract that expired on June 30.
