Bonano in Murcia link

Roberto Bonano could be Real Murcia's first signing when the transfer window reopens in January.

Even though it seemed that Murcia were hoping to sign a striker and an attacking midfielder, rumours persist that the Argentinian goalkeeper could be set to sign from Barcelona.

Bonano has been training away from the first team squad since the arrival of fellow keepers Rustu Recber and the current number one Victor Valdes, joining the likes of striker Dani and another goalkeeper, Robert Enke.

Murcia have been in contact with Bonano's representatives as well as Barca in order to to ascertain whether the keeper would be interested in joining the newly-promoted side.

Bonano had been linked with Murcia over the summer, but the Catalan club had asked for ‚é¼ 1 million but the cost of the transfer would be less now.

The Argentinian keeper's situation at Barcelona would hasten his departure from the club, something he was unwilling to do over the summer.

Javier Sanchez Broto's place would be in doubt should Bonano arrive from Barcelona as the former Celtic star has not enjoyed the best of times since joining Murcia in the summer.
