Queudrue wants French call

Middlesbrough defender Franck Queudrue is eyeing a call-up to the full French squad.

The left back has been in fantastic form for the Teesside outfit after missing the first five games of the season through suspension.

Since the former Lens man was brought back, Boro have kept seven clean sheets in ten games.

"Every player wants to play for his country, especially France because with the current players you have a good chance of winning trophies," said Queudrue.

"It's a long way off yet, but you never know.

"I have always been ambitious, keen to look forward and further my career at a higher level.

"I need to keep doing well.

"As long as I give my best to Boro and stay consistent, it's then up to the coach."

Queudrue has a French B cap to his name from a game with Germany in 2000 and he would love to add to his international experience.

"I was proud to wear the France shirt when I won my B cap, there aren't so many B internationals.

"It would be a dream come true to win a full cap and play in the European Championships."
