Ambrosini unhappy at Milan
The Italian international featured for Italy in their win over Romania, but he is growing concerned at sitting on the bench at Giuseppe Meazza.
The arrival of Kaka has seen Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti go with Gennaro Gattuso as his holding player in midfield which allows the Brazilian to play in an attacking role alongside Clarence Seedorf and Andrea Pirlo.
"I am particularly keen to wear the Italian shirt, but not playing for my club means it is difficult for Trapattoni (Italy coach, Giovanni) to give me a space," said Ambrosini.
"I have already not been called up for this reason and I really want to go to the European Championships.
"With Ancelotti, there isn't much to talk about - I must accept his choices, even if I don't agree with his decisions but I can't be happy."
Ambrosini has been linked with a possible switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid and he admits he is proud of such a link.
"If it was true, it would give me big pride," he continued.
"I know nothing on this, but it would be beautiful - but you have to try to understand - Milan are my life, I have been here for eight years and I could decide that I would never leave.
"But I would need to be part of the team, so I am obliged to make evaluations - things can happen suddenly."
