Morris charged with rape

Leeds United midfielder Jody Morris has been charged with rape, West Yorkshire police have confirmed.

The 24-year-old and a second man were rearrested on Tuesday after returning to a police station as a condition of their bail.

The two men are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

A police spokeswoman said: "A 24-year-old man currently living in Leeds and a 26-year-old man from London have both been charged with rape.

"The two men are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning."

A 20-year-old woman claims she was assaulted in a lay-by on the A58, near Wetherby, on October 7.
