Seedorf upset by Ajax reaction
Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf said he was disappointed by the less than rapturous applause the Ajax fans gave him during their UEFA Champions League clash.
The Dutch international helped the Amsterdam club to European glory back in 1994/95, before going on to win another two winners' medals with Real Madrid in 1999/2000 and the Rossoneri last season.
Seedorf is out on his own with the troika of wins with different clubs, but he said he could not understand the Ajax fans' reaction to him during Milan's 1-0 win, whereas Madrid fans warmly embrace his return.
"I don't know the reason for which my former supporters have whistled and booed me," Seedorf told Milan's official website.
"This disappointed me but I don't want to make complaints.
"In Madrid, my former supporters still welcome me with big enthusiasm.
"In Amsterdam this doesn't happen, but I don't bear a grudge and I'm satisfied for what I did for Ajax."
Seedorf then turned his attentions to Milan's forthcoming clashes in Italy: "Now let's think to Modena and Empoli with the same determination which we showed in the Champions League."
